Two Car Crash Leaves One Dead, Driver Suspected Of Driving While
Intoxicated

A man was killed in a two car crash in El Monte early Sunday morning. The deadly crash happened
around 5:30 A.M. at the intersection of Peck Road and Lower Azusa Road.
The driver of a pickup truck who is suspected of driving while intoxicated, crashed into a blue
sedan killing the passenger in the sedan. The female driver was trapped inside of the sedan but
Los Angeles County Fire Department were able to free her from the vehicle. She was rushed to a
area hospital in serious condition, her passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to an area hospital with only minor injuries. Police
have not confirmed whether the driver of the pickup truck has been arrested.
