Environmental Protection Agency Approves Lysol Products
As Effective Way To Kill Coronavirus On Surfaces

When COVID-19 began to put people in fear of touching items, disinfectanting
sprays became a hot item. You couldn't buy them in stores because consumers
were buying them up in droves. They have always claimed that they kill 99.9%
of viruses and bacteria. Now the United States Environmental Protection Agency
has now approved Lysol Disinfectant Spray and Lysol Disinfectant Max Cover
Mist as effective ways to kill COVID-19 on surfaces.
Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Andrew Wheeler released a
statement saying, “EPA is committed to identifying new tools and providing
accurate and up-to-date information to help the American public protect
themselves and their families from the novel coronavirus. EPA's review of
products tested against this virus marks an important milestone in President
Trump’s all of government approach to fighting the spread of COVID-19."
Testing was done in a laboratory and showed that the products were effective.
Before these types of products can legally make claims that they can kill a
particular pathogen such as COVID-19, the claim must be authorized by EPA
based on a review of data.
