Instagram Influencer's Body Found Along Road Side

A Houston social media influencer was found dead along a road side in west Houston on Saturday.
Alexis Sharkey, 26, had been reported missing since Friday by family members. See was last seen
and heard from on Friday evening.

A City of Houston worker made the discovery of Sharkey's nude body at around 8:30 A.M. on
Saturday morning in the 1000 block of Red Haw Lane.

Her mother Stacey Clark Robinault pleaded on Facebook for the safe return of her daughter. On
Sunday, she confirmed that her daughter's body was found.



Sharkey's husband Thomas Sharkey has been paying tribute to his late wife on Facebook. Some
users on Facebook have been blaming him for her death but police have not ruled him a suspect
at this time.



Police say there were no signs of injuries, an autopsy to determine the cause of death is currently
being done by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

A vigil is scheduled for Thursday, December 3 at 5:30 P.M. at Buffalo Bayou Park.

A GoFundMe page has been setup to help with funeral costs and travel fees for Sharkey to be
buried in Pennsylvania.
